(TCI) currently has an exciting 12-month contract opportunity to join our Parts Supply team located in Bowmanville, ON. This role will report directly to the Manager, Parts Supply and will support the achievement of department customer service targets through forecasting, ordering, and distribution of essential service parts. What We’ll Bring: Company & Culture A hybrid work environment A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility and respect Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career A focus on respect for people and continuous improvement Summer Hours – condensed work week during the summer Benefits Competitive compensation package Extended health care and dental benefits effective immediately Associate vehicle discount program Paid holiday shutdown and competitive paid time off benefits What You’ll be Doing: Maintain relationships with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values Monitor parts sales and inventory levels; conduct sales forecasts by leveraging the monthly vehicle forecast schedule provided by the Sales and Inventory Planning team Investigate and complete root cause analyses of supply disruptions and impacts to customer fill rate; develop counter measures to mitigate future inventory shortfalls Assess TCI’s accessory inventory to identify current and future obsolescence obligations; create action plans and present opportunities to improve profitability Prepare necessary files and complete tasks required for monthly forecasts and vendor purchase orders Partner with Development Team, Marketing Team, Sales Inventory Planning and other stakeholders on product launch readiness, backorder ETAs and other general inquiries Maintain the integrity of all information in Parts Ordering System at the Part Number level Maintain and distribute weekly/monthly reports focusing on efficient inventory management What You’ll Bring: University/College degree/diploma in business, operations management, supply chain, or equivalent work experience. 2+ years’ work experience in inventory demand planning, operations, or similar discipline Knowledge of inventory forecasting and distribution required Qualified knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel experience Working knowledge of SAP S4 HANA, and IBP forecasting, is considered an asset Strong methodical and critical thinking experience Excellent oral and written communication Proven knowledge of how to initiate & improve processes to increase efficiencies About Us Toyota Canada Inc. is the exclusive Canadian distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
