It's the perfect work/life combination.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly energized, organized and professional candidate to assist in leading our Room Reservations team at the Castle in the Rockies!Are you an individual with a high level of attention to detail and have a gregarious personality?Are you one who is looking to grow your skills in the area of Reservations and Revenue Management, within the hospitality industry, whilst enjoying the breathtaking setting of the Canadian Rockies?Competitive Salary: $64,000 - $65,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & educationJob Duties Include:Oversee the daily operations for the largest in-house reservations department within the NCA region (team of up to 19, including four coordinators)Work closely with Sales, Revenue Management, PR, Marketing and Operations teams to develop and execute new packages, rates and processesFoster strong relationships with group organizers, sales managers, conference services managers and tour & wholesale suppliersAct as key resource for Reservations and all segments knowledge while overseeing the training of Reservations AgentsAssist with the balancing of guestroom inventory, using sales reporting to determine inventory concerns, spearheading inventory challenges for at capacity dates and working with partners to find solutions and organize reversals and relocate Handle guest complaints regarding reservations concerns and follow up on SCOREAssist with creating and managing department incentive programsAssist with scheduling and payroll for the reservations departmentChampion the colleague engagement survey (CES) initiatives for the departmentEnsure that there is constant communication within the team by conducting monthly department meetingsAssist with recruitment for all year-round and seasonal reservations staffManage room reservations agents and act as a mentorAssist the reservations team with all duties during high demand periodsOther duties as assigned - As a leader of the Rooms Division, you may be asked to assist in other operational departments within rooms division as neededQualificationsYour Skills & Qualifications:Previous leadership experience in a hotel environment is an assetPrevious room reservations experience is an assetHigh School diploma18 months+ commitment to roleWorking knowledge of Passkey/GroupMax is an assetStrong working knowledge of Opera Property Manager System (PMS)Working knowledge of Central Reservations System (CRS) is an assetPassion for hotel operations with a high level of attention to detailStrong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal skills required Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Word and ExcelMust display strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills to be able to deal with multiple priorities simultaneouslyProfessional presentation with ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAdditional InformationVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
