The Return to Work Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting employees in their recovery and reintegration into the workforce. This position involves collaborating with employees, healthcare professionals, and management to design and implement tailored return-to-work plans that ensure a safe and effective transition back to pre-injury roles. By joining Spectrum Health Care you will be part of one of Canada’s Best Managed companies and a committed member of a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals.Job DescriptionDesign and implement customized return-to-work plans for employees recovering from injury or illnessCollaborate with medical professionals, HR, and management to ensure smooth reintegration and WSIB claims managementConduct on-site visits and provide guidance on injury prevention and safe work practicesMonitor and assess return-to-work plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure employee success and workplace safetyMaintain accurate records and provide regular detailed reports to management on KPIs and metricsAct as a resource for educational training on body mechanics and safe work practicesQualificationsUndergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Registered with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario in good standing (or equivalent/relevant education) Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) an asset 2 – 3 years experience in return to work or disability case managementStrong knowledge of injury management, rehabilitation processes, and return-to-work strategiesExperience conducting workplace incident investigations#corp_shcAdditional InformationSpectrum Health Care is thrilled to be named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
