The Opportunity Join our Predictive Insights team as we revolutionize asset reliability through cutting-edge monitoring technologies. We're seeking a data-driven professional who excels at extracting meaningful insights from complex time series data and has extensive expertise in above ground facilities equipment. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between statistical analysis and practical equipment knowledge, communicating effectively across stakeholders while uncovering solutions hidden within large datasets. Position available in Calgary, Houston, Charleston, WV or other locations within TC Energy's footprint. What you'll do Anomaly Detection Monitor and analyze equipment anomalies using our Reliability Analysis Platform (RAP) Perform sophisticated real-time data analysis, including quality assessment and statistical modeling Develop and maintain robust statistical models for early anomaly detection Create compelling data visualizations to communicate findings clearly Support investigations by providing timely data updates and insights Document findings thoroughly to capture critical information about issues and mitigation actions Data Quality Management Identify and address real-time data quality issues using RAMP Troubleshoot data anomalies and determine root causes using OSIsoft tools Collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions following established protocols Maintain comprehensive documentation of investigative findings Digital Asset Development Build digital asset representations using in-house transformation tools Partner with subject matter experts to understand equipment structure and sensor functionality Map real-time data tags to digital assets Develop and train statistical and machine learning models for anomaly detection Reliability Engineering & Risk Assessment Collect and enhance failure and maintenance data for analysis Apply advanced reliability models including Weibull and Crow-AMSAA Conduct facility risk assessments based on life data models Perform targeted reliability studies, including repetitive failure analysis Recommend process improvements for data acquisition Develop equipment fault trees based on known failure modes Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent degree/experience (equivalent degree/experience qualifying for Technologist job ladder) For Canadian candidates, registered as a P.Eng in the prevailing jurisdiction in good standing (e.g., APEGA in Alberta). 6+ years of mechanical experience with rotating compression and gas measurement equipment Extensive natural gas pipeline business knowledge Expert understanding of above ground facilities equipment Strong proficiency with time series data analysis and applied statistics Working knowledge of SCADA systems and PI systems Experience working with senior leadership Technical Skills Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel Comfort working with large, complex datasets Experience with OSI PI Suite of tools Familiarity with reliability life data modeling Experience with data visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI) Knowledge of SQL, industrial AI tools, and SAP data extraction (preferred) Professional Attributes Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Strong project management abilities Customer-focused mindset Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills Strategic thinker with business acumen Commitment to quality, ethics, and organizational values To remain competitive, support our high-performance culture and allow for more flexibility in the way we work, we offer a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for our eligible office-based workforce in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. #LI-Hybrid About our business TC Energy is a leading energy infrastructure company in North America.
