The Route Supervisor will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the Company’s transportation Requirements: and patterns. They will review and process day to day operations, evaluate and recommend equipment needs, and plan and schedule appropriate service lines to maintain a cost-effective balance between customer service and cost of service. They will ensure compliance with all government related programs specific to mode and direction of related haulage. Key Responsibilities: Direct supervision of all drivers, ensuring ongoing training requirements: discipline and procedural implementation. May act as a point of contact for the public, staff, contractors etc. Attain all of the necessary information regarding any issues of safety, driver complaints and customer issues and communicating them to relevant parties. Tracking of ongoing service/driver issues and documenting any coaching required. Direct communication with other departments to ensure proper ongoing service and upkeep of all units including safety devices, vehicle lighting, warning devices, fittings, safety supplies. Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all workers reporting any issues immediately to your direct supervisor. Ensure company policy, systems, and industry related training is delivered to all drivers. Perform Accident Investigations when company vehicles are involved in traffic accidents. Provide or arrange training, feedback and performance evaluations for drivers to ensure they are properly abiding to all company policies, procedures, highway traffic act and Occupational Health and Safety Act standards. Collaborate with team members to develop project timelines, track progress, and ensure timely completion tasks and Ensure goals are regularly met within the department and align with the company’s objectives. Maintaining accurate records and reports. Perform minimum 40 OBA’s per month Ride along evaluation as scheduled NSC follow up as required Equipment inventory On going coaching 24/7 on call for emergencies Requirements: Valid Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement (required) 2–3 years of supervisory experience, ideally in the trucking industry Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections and conduct accident investigations Operations, transportation, or waste management experience preferred First Aid Certification considered an asset Strong knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations is mandatory Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite (spreadsheets, databases, word processing) Willingness to work flexible hours, including some travel Ideal Candidate: 5 years driving AZ experience Hours of service knowledge is an absolute must Very flexible hours Ability to stay overnight when required Mechanically inclined (somewhat) Problem solver – think on their feet We thank you for your interest.
