Purpose of Position

The Social Communication Group (SCG) Program Manager supports the delivery of in-person group programs by managing program logistics, communicating learner profiles, and assisting with onsite supervision and facilitation. They oversee all aspects of program intake and enrollment, including conducting parent/guardian interviews, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring billing readiness. Additionally, they collaborate on program updates, manage organization of physical and digital materials, and maintain consistent communication with families to ensure a smooth, responsive, and high-quality program experience.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities
- Support LDS SLP (who will lead program design and delivery) with delivery of program
- Communicating learner needs and individual learner profiles to SLP
- Supervision of group in arrival area for 15 minutes ahead of program start
- Attendance of program for in-person delivery support
- Ensure all program materials, curricula, outlines, resources are up to date, organized, branded (as appropriate) and filed digitally
- Work with the SLP on any iterative program updates or revisions
- Manage Intake and enrollment of program, and work with Senior Manager, Programs on program calendar, scheduling and related time/space needs; Intake duties include
- Upkeep of intake form
- Completing intake interviews with prospective parents/ guardians of the program
- Uploading intake documentation
- Adding group programming relevant information to debrief (before & after)
- Monitor application and enrollment numbers; in consultation with Senior Manager, Programs, prompt communications team for more recruitment
- Enrollment administrative duties include:
- Offering placements to families/ or communication on why their child isn't able to be offered a spot in program
- Ensuring correct information for billing (direct or third party) is input into Teachworks; ensuring credit card is on file for family
- Ongoing communications with families
- Collating and formatting reporting
- Sending reports
Requirements & Competencies
- Experience with program enrollment processes and attention to detail with administration processes.
- Experience working with learners who have diverse support needs.
- Experience communicating sensitive, and celebratory, information to families both orally and in writing.
- Relative comfort defining and holding boundaries with learners and families who have support needs that may be beyond the scope of what LDS can offer; ability to make appropriate suggestions for other resources or referrals.
- Supporting students in navigating the social norms, not learning to adhere to them, but learning the expectations that are out there so they feel confident navigating them.
Start date: Early July
Reports to: Senior Manager, Programs
Hours of work: The SCG Program Manager is allotted up to 5 hours per week for group delivery, intakes, and general preparation time
- Group delivery – 2 hours 10 minutes per week
- Up to 2 hours per week for intakes
- Preparation management time – up to 1 hour per week
Remuneration and Benefits: In consideration with other instructional duties, a successful candidate would be offered a pro-rated salary increase /adjustment in recognition of increased full-cycle program responsibilities. To be discussed and negotiated.
