Pay Range $25 per hour We are seeking: Education Program Coordinator - Canada Summer Jobs Full-Time Contract position – 8 Weeks (35h/week) The Education Program Coordinator for VHA's Best Practice and Education Team will be involved with supporting the coordination of learning and professional development initiatives offered to nurses, personal support workers, and rehabilitation professionals (i.e. occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, registered dieticians, and speech-language therapists). Key tasks and responsibilities of the role: Working with the Best Practice and Education team to help brainstorm creative ways engage adult learners Creating communication plans and sharing educational opportunities with learners via posters, emails, newsletters, etc. Surveying learners regarding educational needs and summarizing data to inform decision-making for educational offerings Reviewing clinical training content produced by clinical educators (subject matter experts) and providing feedback on usability Assisting with development of training materials under the supervision of clinical subject matter experts (registered health professionals) Coordinating the registration, attendance, payment, and follow-up with learners after attending the session Provide observations and recommendations on how educational processes could be improved to make it easier to repeat in the future Tracking metrics related to how learners have engaged with educational initiatives Creating reports and presenting metrics to organizational stakeholders via briefing notes, PowerPoint presentations, and/or infographics As this role is being funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program, the following are eligibility requirements: You are between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment. You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (foreign students are not eligible). Desired Qualifications: Enrolled in University or College with a focus in Nursing, Health Sciences, or Education. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to articulate and communicate to various internal and external sources. Excellent skills with Microsoft office suites including SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint Must be able to communicate and document in an effective, timely and efficient manner. Strong attention to detail and the ability to deal with multiple priorities is a requirement. You are a strong team player and can work effectively under pressure, adhering to deadlines. Adaptable in learning new process, software and other tools in a changing environment. Proven organizational and effective problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure with an emphasis on accountability and continuous quality improvement. Ability to handle multiple tasks in an efficient manner.
