We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and driven individuals to help support our Assembly Department in the role of Assembly Technician at our Port Colborne, ON facility.
Tasks/Responsibilities
Responsible for Production Assembly of Piping, Pumps, Heat Exchangers, etc.
Accurate interpretation of production drawings, blue prints, and other production information so as to ensure a high standard of quality and safety
Responsible for the preparation of materials prior to actual assembly operations when required
Ensure proper clean up and operation of work station/area
To always work in a safe way as per Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Company's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Assist Fitter’s when required
Perform additional duties as required
Schedule: 6 week shift rotation
Monday to Friday (4 weeks): 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Monday to Thursday (2 weeks): 3:30PM - 2:00AM
Preferred Skills
Automotive mechanical background an asset.
Experience with blueprint reading and working with tools
Team player willing to work towards business targets and takes responsibility for decisions and outcomes.
Willingness to learn new skills and perform a variety of tasks and roles.
Requirements
Secondary School (preferred)
Assembly: 3 years (preferred)
Automotive Mechanical: 2 years (preferred)
