RELIEF WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR
Under the general direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, this hybrid position is designed for individuals who primarily work as Warehouse Associates but have the capability and flexibility to step into a Warehouse Coordinator role when required. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, gain leadership exposure, and grow within the organization, while still contributing hands-on to the daily operations of our warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform all Warehouse Associate duties, including:
Pick a variety of orders using batch picking and RF scanners
Verify, pack, and prepare shipments for member clinics and e-commerce clients
Maintain accurate inventory levels
Contribute to a clean and organized workspace
Follow all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Other warehouse tasks as assigned
Relief Responsibilities (As Needed):
Step into the Warehouse Coordinator role to:
Coordinate warehouse training initiatives with support of other Coordinators, Supervisors and Managers.
Monitor daily operations and team performance to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Provide guidance and support to team members recognizing contributions and fostering a collaborative environment.
Understand, follow, and guide team members on all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and applicable VP Policies.
Communicate effectively with leadership and other departments
Support safety, inventory, and process improvement initiatives
Communicate concerns related to customer orders, inventory, equipment, and processes to relevant departments as needed.
Document and communicate employee concerns or incidents to Managers/Supervisors. Complete required paperwork and assist in corrective actions.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Health & Safety:
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Accountable for the health and safety of the employees under their supervision.
Complete incident/accident investigations, as applicable.
Ensure machinery and equipment are inspected and operated safely.
Ensure employees comply with safe work practices and procedures.
Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Inform workers of any potential or actual health and safety hazards identified in the workplace.
Take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of a worker.
Aware of safety and evacuation procedures and assists during emergencies as required.
Correct unsafe acts or conditions.
Report to the H&S Manager any health & safety violations or hazards.
Good Manufacturing Practices:
Follow and understand all relevant Standard Operating Procedures with respect to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Experience in leadership, training, coaching, and advising, considered an asset.
Excellent organization and time management.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office
Material Handling Equipment (MHE) – Forklift License will be trained/certified
