The Director, Business Development will play a critical role in driving the organization's strategic growth by identifying, cultivating, and managing business opportunities. This position is responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term partnerships with key stakeholders, expanding the company’s market presence, and leading a team to execute business development initiatives. The Director, Business Development will be a key driver of ISC’s growth strategy, leveraging relationships, insights, and innovative thinking to propel the organization forward. Reporting to the Vice-President, Corporate Development & Business Strategy, other highlights include: Lead and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering collaboration, and alignment with ISC's growth goals. Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with ISC's growth and objectives. Lead and manage end-to-end procurements processes including Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring compelling, value-driven, tailored solutions and responses. Cultivate long-term client and stakeholder partnerships, drive lead generation, and act as a trusted advisor to the organization’s clients. Lead market intelligence initiatives to inform business strategies and align products with customer demand. Represent ISC at conferences, events, and build industry connections. What you’ll need: Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, with 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related disciplines. Experience engaging with government clients and navigating complex procurement processes is an asset. Strong ability to translate technical and business requirements for diverse audiences. Proven track record of building and managing long-term client relationships, with a deep understanding of their needs and business goals. Demonstrated success in identifying and closing integrated solutions across various industries. Ability to work cross-functionally and drive collaboration across internal and external stakeholders. Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience showcasing products and services, including at industry events. Experience in an evolving product environment, balancing existing offerings with emerging solutions. Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry engagements.
