Keyera Career Opportunity Job Type: Permanent THE POSITION Keyera is currently seeking a Facility Operator for our Edmonton Terminal. Rotation will include alternating day and night shifts. RESPONSIBILITIES Facility Operator will maintain care and control of the site. Understand and follow Keyera’s corporate initiatives, e.g., Applicable Corporate Safe Operating Practices (CSOP), Guidelines and Policies. Participate in the development of the site's safety culture. Oversee the operation of facility process equipment, e.g., pumps, vessels, gas chromatograph. Facility operator in direct contact with Control Center. Participate in the development and implementation of Emergency Response Exercise (ERP) drills. Prepare, review and sign work permit for employees and contractors. Conduct Pre-job Meetings and supervise work being performed by third party services. Actively participate and lead Health, Safety & Environment Site meetings. Mentor and lead junior operators on site. Identify and report mechanical defects when discovered on process equipment and mobile equipment. e.g., Pumps, Vessels, Vehicles, Loader, etc. Active involvement in the creation and development of new safe operating procedures. Responsible for keeping Geometrix and the Track Sheet current. Responsible to complete final inspection and sign off on railcars ready for site release. Can act as relief operator for next level competency. Complete facility readings. Pull product samples as required including monthly composite samples. Perform site specific orientations of contractors and truck drivers. Lead regular PM’s on-site including filter and strainer changeouts. Work with Keyera’s Measurement Group to complete monthly meter proving. Preparation of Lock Out and Tag Outs for maintenance purposes. Perform in depth troubleshooting on equipment and processes. Oversee the operation of the Racks. Workflow maintenance items through Maximo as required. Individual progression through the site-specific Career Development Program Competent in Geo and contact for logistics on shift. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 3-5 years working within terminal operations. Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision. Experience with Maximo an asset. Participate in the development of new business opportunities at Terminals. Can read and understand Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID). Brings forward ideas, solutions, and concerns to help the team problem solve and solution build. Perform troubleshooting on equipment and processes and seek assistance when necessary. Maintain professional relations with external parties, e.g., Customers, 3rd party services, etc. Be comfortable with asking questions, continuously learning and being adaptable to new situations. Have proven experience using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Human– Machine Interface (HMI). Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and other software programs. Displays a strong interest in furthering their professional education, i.e., Power Engineering, GPO, NGP III, financial.
