Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC IS’ Client Solutions team is looking for a dynamic Product Owner to join our growing Custody Payments Product team. In this role you will be driving the execution of the Custody Payments Product strategy and playing a pivotal role in championing RBC IS’s multi-year strategic transformation of its Cash Processing Operational Model. Working within a cross-functional agile squad, you will collaborate with key RBC IS partners across Business Development, Operations, Risk, Transformation, and Technology to deliver new payment capabilities, introduce operational efficiency and address Client payment related friction points. What will you do? Drive the execution of Custody Payments product roadmap capabilities from inception to commercialization Act as Payments Product Owner, leading product planning and development process through requirements gathering, backlog creation, grooming and prioritization activities to meet RBC IS business needs / objectives Proactively collaborate with key RBC IS stakeholders across Business Development, Operations, Transformation, Risk and Technology to identify opportunities to enhance existing Custody Payments Product offerings and introduce operational efficiencies Support the RBC IS Business Development teams in resolving any RFI, RFP and ad-hoc Client payments related asks / issues Document current and future state Payments related business processes, identifying opportunities to improve or re-engineer processes Prepare presentations and reports to communicate progress, insights, findings, and recommendations to RBC IS Senior Management Team (SMT) Conduct market and competitor analysis to understand current and future Payment industry trends to support development of long-term Custody Payments Product roadmap Work closely with all business and technology stakeholders within RBC IS to ensure Custody Payments team delivers on its objectives What do you need to succeed? Must-have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or a related field 5+ years of experience working as a Product Owner in Financial Services– preference will be given to candidates with Payments and/or Custody background Strong analytical skills with ability to generate and present data-driven insights in a clear and actionable way Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Mural) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate through ambiguity and complex stakeholder management Strong understanding of Payments modernization initiatives including SWIFT ISO 20022 adoption, RTR, and digital payment ecosystems / technologies Nice-to-have Big 5 consulting experience Payment operations / AML experience Deep knowledge of SWIFT payments & securities messages Fluency in French What’s in it for you?
