Ce poste sera situé à Montréal, Québec Responsabilités • Aider les ingénieurs de haut niveau à fournir un support technique sur site pour tous les produits Ciena. • Supporte la documentation de la fermeture de RCA pour toutes les analyses de défaillance effectuées • Un contributeur du support technique pour toutes les nouvelles introductions - des livrables à temps pour toutes les évaluations de la fabricabilité de la conception - • Soutenir l'ingénieur de produit assurer la réalisation des produits livrables par une date clé, et fournir un support technique pour toutes les versions d'introduction mécanique chez nos sous-traitants. Activités générales Participez aux programmes NPI de nos programmes de transmission optique, en aidant les ingénieurs actuels à qualifier de nouveaux modèles (tôle, usinée, extrudée, à outillage dur). • Le rôle consiste à s'assurer que la documentation, les outils et les processus de fabrication sont en place, tenus à jour et utilisés pour produire un produit de haute qualité. • Une partie importante de ce rôle implique la gestion de projet et un partenariat étroit avec les équipes étendues d'ingénierie de R & D et des opérations et la chaîne logistique. • Le rôle exige une attention particulière à la qualité en examinant les problèmes, en proposant des solutions et en les mettant en œuvre sur les sites de production. • Le rôle implique un aspect de réduction des coûts en affinant les processus d'assemblage actuels et en révisant les conceptions existantes. Collaboration avec les intervenants • Interfaces avec notre équipe de conception, nos principaux fournisseurs de produits mécaniques et nos sous-traitants, localement et dans les régions à faibles coûts de fabrication. Zones d'impact • Programmes d’introduction d’un noveau produit ( NPI ) mécaniques comprenant des équipements de transmission optique • Composants moulés par injection plastique menant à un moule permanent. • Dissipateurs de chaleur (usinés, extrudés, caloduc, etc) • composants coulés • Tous les composants électro-mécaniques de tous nos modems optiques. • Expérience • Participer au programme de baccalauréat en génie mécanique. • L'exposition à la fabrication serait un atout. How You Will Contribute: Ciena Electromechanical Product Engineering department is looking for a dynamic engineering student to join the current engineering team. The successful candidate will support the implementation of mechanical designs into full production. This position will be located in Montreal, Quebec Responsibilities: Assist senior engineers in providing on-site mechanical engineering support for all Ciena products Support documenting RCA closure for all failure analysis performed A contributor of technical support of all new introductions – on time deliverables for all design manufacturability assessments – Support the product engineer responsible with driving product deliverables per schedule, and provide technical support for all mechanical introductory builds at our contract manufacturers. General Activities: Participate in the NPI programs for our Optical Transmission programs, assisting the current engineers with the qualification of new designs ( sheet metal, machined, extruded, hard tooled ). The role is to ensure manufacturing documentation, tools and processes are in place, kept up-to-date and used to produce a high quality product. A significant part of the role involves project management, and close partnership with R&D & Operations Engineering , and supply chain extended teams. The role requires a strong quality focus by investigating issues, proposing solutions and their implementation into production sites. The role involves a cost reduction aspect by refining current assembly processes, and reviewing existing designs. Collaboration with stakeholders: Interfacing with our Design team, key mechanical suppliers, and contract manufacturers both locally and in the low cost regions.. Areas of impact Mechanical NPI programs which include optical transmission equipment Plastic injection molded components leading to hard tooling Heat sinks ( machined, extruded, heatpipes, ec) Casted components All electro-mechanical components on all our optical modems. The Must Haves Participating in program in Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Manufacturing exposure would be an asset. Pay Range: The pay for this position is $24.50 - $33.00 Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
