Please note that this role has a pre-identified pool of candidates Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to hire and lead a Vaccines focused national sales team, with the primary responsibility of ensuring flawless execution of brand strategies. The role requires the ability to lead, inspire and coach our field sales team in an effort to build strong, strategic, partnerships with our key external stakeholders. This leadership role is also responsible for building field sales competencies and capabilities enabling the teams to provide unmatched patient & customer value through the creation of meaningful business relationships and by providing science-based solutions of our brands. This is accomplished through effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring, and demonstrating strong strategic and critical thinking. This role is required to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the relevant internal stakeholders to help create and define the Oncology brand & sales strategy. Primary Responsibilities: Lead and manage nationally to sell Vaccines products to all customers according to the direction of management. Lead and manage the Vaccines area to promote the product portfolio for their sales force. Develop business plans and implement national business strategies to meet objectives. Recruit, hire and retain qualified representatives. Prepare all required paperwork and administrative procedures to support hiring and assessment activities. Monitor progress of established objectives. Ensure optimal coverage of all key stakeholders. Provide adequate training, coaching, follow-up and development of sales representatives in all phases of their work including career development. Ensure that representatives understand marketing strategies and thoroughly communicate balanced product information. Plan and conduct sales meetings to inform, train, and inspire representatives. Keep current on relevant matters including company business, policy and procedures to insure 100% compliant implementation. Manage and control expenses to maximize return on investment. Participate as member of internal strategic cross functional team, providing field insights to help drive brand strategies and tactic. In addition to national and regional meetings, overnight travel is involved. Qualifications Required: BSc/BComm degree required from an accredited institution. 3 years marketing experience (minimum 2 years in Vaccines or similar experience in a competitive market). 2 years minimum experience as a DSM. Strong Business Knowledge, and willingness to drive fearless collaboration. Valid driver's license. Demonstrated ability to lead and empower team to work in agile manner Ability to travel as necessary. Expert knowledge of Vaccines market and demonstrated planning ability. Excellent understanding of, and response to, a fast paced, and ever-changing selling environment. Mastery of asking effective questions. Strong communication, coaching and presentation skills. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills. This position requires the employee to drive routinely on Company business and allows for the provision of a company – leased vehicle. However, to be eligible for this position and a company vehicle, GSK will need to obtain acceptable results from a license verification inquiry and drivers abstract review against its safe driver program requirements.
