As a Railcar Loader, you will play a crucial role in our transportation operations, ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of railcars.Conduct thorough visual inspections of railcars to ensure mechanical soundness and identify any defects prior to loading or unloading.Prepare railcars for loading by opening manways and installing appropriate loading arms or hoses.Load specific products into railcars using loading manifests, accurately measuring and recording volumes and temperatures.Secure railcars for shipping according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) standards.Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including checklists and manifests.Work collaboratively in a team setting, both at ground level and on elevated railcar loading racks.Adhere to and promote a behavioral-based safety system to achieve zero-loss goals.Perform duties in various weather conditions and during rotating shifts, including days and nights.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.0-1 years of relevant work experience or equivalent education.Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing, driver's abstract, and criminal background checks.Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading tasks and work outdoors for entire shifts.Strong attention to detail for conducting inspections and maintaining accurate records.Basic math skills for measuring and recording product volumes.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.Commitment to following safety protocols and regulations.Comfortable working at heights on railcar loading racks.Previous experience in a petroleum refinery or similar industrial setting is a strong asset.Valid driver's license may be required.
