Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of part-time Customer Service Clerk to join our Home Centre team at our Wainwright, AB location. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone with relevant ag experience who is looking to develop their skills in a supportive, community-driven environment.
What You’ll Do:
Engage with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and displaying products.
Operate point of sale system and prepare daily cash reconciliations.
Follow opening and closing procedures.
Resolve customer issues and answer questions.
Process returns transactions efficiently.
Maintain checkout operations by adhering to policies and procedures.
Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping in the store.
Be familiar with and follow all safety procedures.
Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
Demonstrate behaviors that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and focus on safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Specialized Responsibilities:
Support the farm feed program, including ordering and inventory management.
Be a go-to team member for agricultural product and equipment questions, assisting our Ag & Petro Sales Representative.
Process purchase orders (POs).

Who you are:
You have a minimum of Grade 10 education and/or equivalent retail and customer service experience.
You have a background in agriculture—whether through hands-on experience or relevant post-secondary education—and are comfortable speaking with customers about feed and ag equipment.
You are eager to take on responsibility for ordering farm feed and supporting ag-related inquiries.
You are open to learning processes such as creating POs and supporting operational tasks.
You are action-oriented, customer-focused, and work well with other Team Members.
You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive for excellence in your work.
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives to achieve shared objectives.
You are physically capable of lifting and maneuvering up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
