The Community Content Curator is responsible for building and delivering an organic social strategy that inspires and engages our community, drives brand awareness and encourages people to get outside (trail/climb/snow), to visit local Arc’teryx stores, research product and attend events. Our regional social channels are important platforms to share news about Arc’teryx’s newest products and innovations, story tell about valued community partners and ambassadors and service our communities' questions. We are seeking someone who is driven and excited to grow the regional channels and increase community engagement, while infusing strategy and creative thinking. Alongside being involved in the community, this role is committed to educating others and providing exceptional service to guests while working in store.
The nature of this role requires the candidate to be located within one (1) hour from the city/store location. This role requires a minimum of two (2) days a week spent working in a Brand Store, and office hours are ideally worked in stores or at local community venues (I.e. climbing gyms).

The Community Content Curator leads the organic social strategy and delivery for the region and collaborates closely with the Community Marketing Manager, Store Managers, Regional Manager, passionate retail store teams, all market stakeholders, NA Community team and head office brand and marketing teams. You are a true brand ambassador, consistently driving engagement with the brand. You are deeply connected to what is happening within your community, and are passionate about connecting the dots between people, projects, and events in alignment with Arc’teryx vision and values.

If you were the Community Content Curator now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
Building and deliver an annual social strategy for the region that inspires, engages, and drives awareness
Managing the regional content calendar, owning scheduling and publishing of daily content per channel
Partnering closely with Community Marketing Manager and Store Managers on relevant content and storytelling moments (product, store openings, cultural moments, thought leadership, ambassador features, community partners and brand stories)
Acting as channel owner for all social media channels within the organic ecosystem
Responding, replying and scheduling inbound store social requests in a predetermined timeframe
Creating content plans aligned to business priorities, including product launches, seasonal brand campaigns and key cultural moments
Writing creative briefs that give clear direction to our creative services and brand teams to support branded asset requests and/or copy
Participating in weekly community marketing meetings to ensure that store content needs and brand opportunities for social are captured and planned
Project managing, creating and curating content, including photoshoots, copy, video, UGC content, and brand assets delivery
Co-managing a content curation budget for the region
Playing a key role in our ambassador and partnership marketing efforts, including identifying brand-right seeding candidates/product field testing opportunities, relationship building, reposting content and engaging with influencer posts
Owning weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting on KPIs, including follower growth targets, engagement and traffic
Ensuring event content is gathered and shared accordingly
Providing best in class guest experience on the sales floor while working in stores 2 days a week
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
A key role in our ambassador and partnership marketing efforts, including identifying brand-right seeding candidates/product field testing opportunities, relationship building, reposting content and engaging with influencer posts
Owning all social listening efforts, including hashtag monitoring, managing social media crises, and identifying real-time marketing opportunities
Partnering with the Brand content team, to guide and lead best practices for our social and conduct to inform our regional platform strategies with cross-functional teams such as the HQ Community team and Global Community team
Are you our next Community Content Curator?
You have 2+ years' experience in a specialized social media or marketing role
You have experience working with retail brands
You have demonstrated experience developing and delivering impactful social media content
You are a social media maven — authentically passionate about the field of social media and tapped into emerging channels and trends highly proficient in organic social media including Instagram, TikTok, FB, etc.
You are a great communicator with an ability to write branded copy and communicate with ease
You are highly creative, and known for disruptive ideas connected to the Arc’teryx values
You are flexible and agile with a desire to work in support of local growing communities
You have strong global awareness with respect to cultural sensitivities
You are able to work well in a team setting and with various levels within the organization
You are able to understand a budget, and have strong overall analytical capabilities
You are able to organize and manage multiple, time sensitive projects
You are able to work cross-functionally
Experience working with retailers, preferably in the outdoor industry
Strong computer skills – MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
You have excellent oral, written and presentation skills
You are self-motivated, committed, tenacious and goal-oriented
You are energetic and passionate
You have a positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude

$24.60 - $28.90 an hour
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$24.60/hr - CAD$28.90/hr at the time of this posting. The pay range is based on market location and store type. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
