About this Position We are looking for a temporary Accounting Clerk to join our Finance department. Responsibilities and Qualifications Responsibilities: Review /Verify banking activities and report Cash and Investment account balances Investigate and follow up on queries with the bank or with Operations' area Prepare/Update Peoplesoft and Mainframe entries Prepare bank transfers, EFT and wire payments Release electronic deposit files to the bank Record bank activities in the General Journal (Peoplesoft) Prepare monthly reconciliations Verify and download internal reports relating to bank activities Distribute/Replenish Petty cash Backup to Ops Accounting Clerk 2 (PFSLC) Perform other duties as required Qualification High School Diploma or equivalent work experience Basic knowledge of accounting High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Excellent data entry skills Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Effective organizational and time management skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently or as a team member in a fast-paced and high-volume environment Must be well organized and a self-starter It has been and will continue to be the policy of Primerica, Inc., and its subsidiaries to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
