Solution Architect (Senior or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Senior or Lead Solution Architect to join our team in Richmond, British Columbia. The Services & Support organization is currently looking for one senior Solution Architect. This position will focus on supporting the Tech Operations portfolio by leading activities to define requirements, design and verify robust architecture, data and information management systems and components. Leads the identification of design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements. Leads the development and configuration management of architecture views and models. Assesses the feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as this position will require working directly with both the Product Management Team, Sales, Software Development, Delivery Services and our international customer base. Position Responsibilities Deep knowledge in SaaS solutions, application refactoring, cloud solutions Experience with IT Architecture Consultancy Cloud strategy and migration planning On-prem & hosted -> serverless application transformation CIO, CISO and/or CTO role experience(s) Data mesh, multi-cloud aware Deep security, cyber, and crypto knowledge/consulting experience Knowledge in airline operations Exceptional communication and ability to build and maintain strong business relationships This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 8 years of experience in SaaS solutions, application refactoring, cloud solutions. Experience with IT Architecture Consultancy. Cloud strategy and migration planning. Previous experience in airline maintenance operations and a solid understanding of aviation concepts. Deep security, cyber, and crypto knowledge/consulting experience. Ability to interface between technical and non-technical stakeholders. Must be legally able to work in Canada. Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods. Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 10 years of experience in SaaS solutions, application refactoring, cloud solutions. Previous experience in international business and/or multi-cultural environments. Ability to work across time zones with a globally dispersed team. Additional Information: This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
