The Product Owner Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to focus on creating cutting-edge tools that facilitate data integration into Qlik’s data systems. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in helping our teams juggle multiple new product developments while also supporting our legacy products for a global customer base. You’ll excel at balancing synchronous and asynchronous communications within a global company, ensuring seamless collaboration across different time zones and cultures. Your expertise in managing cross-team projects will be crucial in driving our data integration tools to new heights.
What makes this role interesting?
Plan and prioritize product development and feature backlogs, aligning them with the product roadmap and strategic goals.
Work closely with product managers, business teams, and external contacts to analyze needs and define product features that deliver maximum value.
Coach teams and coordinate sprints, and help engineers and managers remain up-to-date on trends and best practices in agile project management.
Collaborate with engineering managers across teams to coordinate backlogs and facilitate smooth project execution.
Lead sprint demos, showcase our work, and incorporate feedback to guide future sprints.
Serve as a product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions about our data integration tools.
Lead product release plans and set clear expectations for the delivery of new functionalities.

Collaborate with product and engineering managers to align product development with strategic goals.
Balance synchronous and asynchronous communications to enhance collaboration in our global company.
Assist teams in managing multiple new products while providing support for customers on legacy products.
Excel in coordinating cross-team projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
Contribute to an industry that’s critical for companies wanting to participate in the evolving landscape of generative AI.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in product development, preferably in data integration or related technologies.
In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies for project management.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills, both live and in written text.
Analytical Skills: Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven experience in effectively managing conflicting needs of stakeholders.
Understanding of business value related to product features and functions.
Expertise in balancing synchronous and asynchronous communication in global company settings.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 – $155,000 CDN per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
