ABOUT THE ROLE
This EIT, Rotational Development Opportunity is an exciting way to join the Lafarge Pathways Program for new and recent graduates. When hired into this position, the successful candidate will also be enrolled in Lafarge’s NewGrad program, which is a 24-month development program designed for individuals to gain exposure to new career paths within Lafarge.
This is a developmental role and an opportunity to gain widespread expertise within our business with the ultimate goal of building a long-term career with Lafarge. You will have the opportunity to be assigned to at least three (3) different product lines during an 8-12 month rotation. Product Lines may include Precast, Pipe, Construction, Aggregates, and/or Ready-Mix.
These assignments are designed to allow you to explore and discover a variety of possible career paths acrossLafarge, while accelerating your own personal growth, network and development. Successful participants from this program will transition into full-time opportunities that capitalize their full potential.
This opportunity is part of Lafarge’s New Graduate Development Path (NGDP). As part of the NGDP two-year journey, new graduates are provided with opportunities to connect with other new grads, gain exposure to various aspects of the Lafarge business, and embark on their own learning and development journey through e-learning and scheduled monthly Learning & Development sessions. The NGDP provides a head start for recently graduated individuals entering the workforce while fostering a strong sense of community within Lafarge.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Learn through hands-on experience in collaboration with subject matter experts as well as a dedicated mentor.
Rotate to different product lines to build experience and knowledge.
Gain experience across multiple disciplines including Commercial, Finance, Sales & Estimating, Operations,Quality Control and/or Project Management.
Meet and interact with fellow graduates, building a strong network across the organization.
Enhance fundamental leadership skills.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Recently obtained University Degree or Tech College Diploma.
Additional Education Preferred: N/A
Field of Study Preferred: Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering,Business or Management.
Required Work Experience: Up to 2 years of industry experience.
Preferred Training/Certifications: Registered as either an EIT or Engineering Tech or eligible for registration.
Preferred Technical Skills: Command, Smart Drive, Cubits, etc. is considered an asset but not required.
Travel Requirements: 0-15%

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
