Description
This person will bring financial expertise to the Production, Logistics, and MS&T services. They will be the plant reference for FMC calculations. They will support the operational teams in daily performance management by reconciling Production data with Finance data regarding material consumption variances and inventory.
They will assist department heads in preparing their monthly analyses related to variances between actuals and budget, and in preparing their budgets and forecasts and will work closely to provide summaries of explanations to be included in the monthly reporting.
Job description:
Part of it is general accounting
This individual will participate in month-end work:
Follow up on inventory, stock, and provisions:
Stocks belonging to the plant (including those in external storage)
Participate in MRB meetings
Sign off and follow up on rejections
Monitor inventory provisions
Conduct independent monthly inventory counts by Finance
Perform various analyses and prepare certain intercompany recharges
Analyze industrial variances: actual vs. standard (units produced, gross coverage, raw material/consumable consumption, substitution/subcontracting, withdrawals, and MS&T lot tracking)
Coordinate information gathering from various departments for month-end
Prepare year-end analyses
Perform start of-year inventory revaluations through the activation of new FMCs
Establish guidelines on processes affecting industrial accounting
Configure accounting events affecting industrial accounting
Other tasks are more costing related;
Participate in the preparation of documents for financial audits (internal/statutory audits)
Participate in ad hoc projects/analyses
Industrial Costing
Day to day tasks:
Update FMC calculation procedures according to methodological evolution
Prepare and analyze cost sheets for new products
Participate in weekly meetings for new product launches
Calculate all commercial FMCs
Budget/Plans and Trends
Calculate and perform comparative analyses on FMCs
Participate in planning/budget processes
Collaborate on trend exercises for the industrial part
Collaborate on the revision of loss rates, purchase prices, MOD/BOMS ranges, and withdrawals

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must haves:
Academic training ideally in accounting (no CPA needed) but undergrad degree is needed
4+ years of experience within costing/accounting (experience must come from an industrial sector).
Strong excel is needed (vlookup, pivot table) and ERP experience (they use M3Infor)
Soft skills:
Good communicator
Team player, not afraid to ask for help and seek team success, with other departments wanting to approach them to optimize their performance
Structured and organized

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
