What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Regional Vice President, Pacific Northwest Region, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Achievement of total hotel revenue goals as set forth in the hotel's business planIdentify key customers and establish goals for existing and new key accounts through the establishment of detailed action plans for each hotel's sales and marketing departmentsRecruits, trains and evaluates sales and marketing team membersDevelops and maintains relationships with key business clientsDevelops cluster sales and marketing representation where possibleAchieve budgeted room night quotas and average rates set out in the yearly business planEnsure delivery of superior guest services through coordination with other hotel departmentsProvide ongoing sales and marketing direction through coaching and guides the development of customer action plansProvide a motivated, competent workforce consistent with hotel and company needs through implementation and approved programs and execution of continuity and succession planningOversee the training and development programs available from corporate office and identify the needs of all sales workforce in their specific region and the level of training required for themEnsure the installation, maintenance and operational efficiency of in-house sales technology and systems managementSupport the National Sales Office structure by providing data on multiple users and appropriate follow up. Support other hotels with customer contactsProvide guidance in preparation of monthly reports, backlog, tracking of account room nights in the group, Corporate IT, tour and leisure market segmentsOverall guidance to all hotels in the region with the annual preparation of the business planWork closely with Revenue Management on issues concerning pricing, branding, product enhancements for certain market segments, etc. Inventory management and yieldDirect the activities of outside agencies and in-house advertising campaigns. Supervise the production and distribution of literature, collateral materials and audio-visual aids. Direct contact with the regions local advertising agency and communications with the Corporate Agency on national advertising issues for all market segmentsCoordinates the hotel's participation in multiple property and company-wide campaignsIdentification of tradeshows that the hotels of their region should participate in, budget for and the team members that should attend on behalf of the region or their individual hotelBe an effective member of the hotel's executive committee in which they resideParticipate in Regional & Global Director of Sales and Marketing meetingsOther duties as assigned What your Regional Responsibilities are:Maintain familiarity with all sales statistics and reports. Make recommendations concerning the direction of future sales and marketing efforts of the regionOversees individual properties sales and marketing performance in collaboration with General Manager’s and Director, Sales & Marketing
Provide guidance to all hotels in the region for the annual preparation of the business planSupport the NSO network and monitor the working relationship and lead production between the NSO and assigned hotelsIncorporate additional reservations and inventory management accountabilities for the sales and marketing departments in each hotel
Regular involvement and representation with owners in assigned propertiesShould be directly involved with the placement of key sales and marketing team membersKnowledgeable about the competitive set for the assigned properties and on top of market share statisticsEnsures that the A&P budget at each hotel is in line with budget figure and that the appropriate dollars are being allocated to the key market segments for each hotelQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Minimum of five years of sales and marketing experience within the luxury hotel industry, multi-property an advantageProfessional written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills are imperativeProven ability to motivate, direct and inspire teamsExcellent knowledge of strategic and tactical planning for sales and marketing activitiesProven track record in understanding and development of revenue management initiativesStrong understanding of Consortia and Leisure MarketingDemonstrated track record of sourcing partnerships and activations with luxury brandsStrong background and understanding of Public RelationsDemonstrated skill understanding all segments and distribution channels as well as Digital MarketingHands on leader with excellent time management skills; a self-starterAdditional InformationVisa requirements: Successful candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
