Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Senior Trade Finance Specialist, you will develop and execute effective sales strategies to grow revenue from a portfolio of commercial clients by offering a full suite of Trade Finance Solutions. You will deliver a differentiated client experience by offering solutions focused on meeting the client’s business and financial goals to grow relationships, enhance loyalty and drive innovation with our clients. You will proactively enable clients to leverage digital solutions for themselves and their business. You will identify opportunities and refer partners and specialists to deepen client relationships and meet clients’ financial needs. What will you do? Demonstrate client stewardship and care in every decision and activity Make the most of every client interaction including meeting immediate needs, providing advice, referring to partners, and digitally enabling clients Follow Practice Management playbooks for sales routines, market and portfolio planning, client interactions to succeed individually and as a team Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s financial position, their industry, business model, management capabilities and ability to repay loans Build, advance and actively replenish a pipeline of prospective clients and ensure the right mix of client/prospect contacts is achieved to meet sales and revenue goals. Maximize the use of technology (synergy, CPM, Pipeline Report, OLMS, Newton, Sales Reports, etc.), maintain data integrity and documentation of all relevant information Plan, prioritize client and market activities to win as One RBC. Seek referral opportunities for relationship team members or RBC partners Exercise due diligence with all transactions: know your client, the transaction, credit structure, risk-analysis and client strategy What do you need to succeed? Must have: Minimum two years’ Commercial Credit Experience Experience working with Trade Finance Products Demonstrated ability to create an exceptional client experience and deepen relationships Effective communication and negotiation skills Nice-to-have: Trade Finance Certification Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.
