The RBC Dominion Securities Hamilton branch is currently seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join a successful team. In this role, the Financial Planner will work directly with a group of high-net-worth clients, providing wealth management services including creating and presenting comprehensive plans, engaging in tax and estate planning, and coordinating with other RBC Wealth Management professionals. You must have a genuine passion for helping people reach their financial goals, and for working as a part of a team. What will you do? Develop comprehensive, personalized financial plans for high-net worth clients including retirement, estate and tax strategies Collaborate with an established team of internal experts and external advisors to coordinate/advise on our client’s wealth management needs Educate clients on financial planning concepts and risk management Work with an exceptional support team to follow a service plan for proactive and a high level of client service, direct client contact in person, by phone and/or video. Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals What do you need to succeed? Must Have 5 years+ of professional experience within the investment industry in a client facing role (other relevant experience may be considered) Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire date) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, to effectively understand clients’ needs, goals and concerns Passion for building client relationships and providing high level advice and service Attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills Nice to Have Other professional designations (accounting, Chartered Financial Analyst) Post-secondary degree What’s in it for you?
