Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.
We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Ensure access control is followed and client property is secured
Monitor CCTV equipment
Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
Respond to alarms and utilization of alarm panels
Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
Complete reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports as necessary
Performing site patrols
Screening individuals visiting site
Escorting individuals off the property when required
Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor
WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:
MUST Valid Ontario Security Guard License
MUST Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
MUST be able to obtain Reliability Security Clearance - minimum 5 Years of Residency in Canada
MUST Prior Use of Force Experience
Strong understanding of computers
Strong customer service/administrative skills
May require prolong standing/sitting
The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

Job Type: Part-Time
Rate of Pay: $28.65 per hour
Hours of work: Various days of the week (0830 - 1630 hrs)
Location: 180 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario
