Job Summary Job Description WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This role is responsible for all aspects of the IT (Application Development and Application Support) NIE, Portfolio Management and Reporting processes for specific pillars within Commercial, Core Banking and Payment Technology (CCBPT). This includes working with Senior Management to capture annual, quarterly and monthly forecast, monitor IT portfolio allocations and manages the production of monthly financial and portfolio update for CCBPT. This role reports to the Strategy, Risk and Business Operations team within CCBPT. As part of this team, you will be a key player in helping delivery insights to the larger CCBPT teams and business stakeholders by providing on going input into process and reporting automation. You will also help simplify and streamline Business Operations processes in CCBPT. WHAT WILL YOU DO? Participates in the annual and quarterly creation of the CCBPT Applications Development, Maintenance and Application Other budgets and monitors adherence to plans/forecasts for specific pillars in CCBPT. Monitors and reports on FTE and Professional Fees budgets ensuring annual targets are adhered to. Provides on-going NIE analysis, observation and value added advice. Liaises with Finance and Portfolio & Planning Management teams within CCBPT to drive consistency in forecasting/budgeting. Accountable for end-to-end build and development of presentation materials related to Portfolio and Financial Business Review Document (BRD) for specific pillars Tracks and Monitors the Application Development Demand for specific pillars in CCBPT. Opens, closes and updates project data in PVE and MIS Manages Financial Control related activities for pillars (Capitalization governance, retired applications, etc) Manages Efficiency Management Program and ensures savings opportunities are vetted and approved by finance for specific pillars in CCBPT. Leads expense review process for specific pillars in CCBPT. Looks for opportunities to streamline, simplify and automate Business Operations Processes. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have: 5+ years in project/program management, financial tracking and executive reporting Knowledge of RBC IT project forecasting, development delivery, system maintenance and IT tracking tools (MIS, Plan view, KPI metrics) required to bring together key opportunities and risks Critical, strategic and analytical thinker with strong financial and business acumen and organizational awareness; with keen execution ability Excellent analytical skills – proven experience conducting data analysis/discovery/aggregation as a foundation to providing meaningful analysis and management reporting to facilitate business decisions at a senior management/executive level. Brings in design thinking, innovation and creativity with client experience as top of mind Independently works through ambiguity in a cross functional team environment RPA and AI reporting Nice-to-have: Educational background in Finance an asset People Management Experience Broad systems management experience What’s in it for you?
