From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, as a Bellman, you will take care of the guests as soon as they step foot onto your driveway, ensuring a lasting impression for our guests’ stay.What you will be doing:Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Greet all guests arriving by vehicle, and promote valet parking as the only hotel-related parking option or clearly direct guests to appropriate public parking service if they preferTo ensure customer satisfaction by offering the highest caliber of service to the hotel guest on arrival and departure and throughout the length of the guest's stayEnsure all entrance areas are free and clear from congestion for arrivals and departures of vehicles by ensuring all cars are parked in an expedient mannerComplete thorough walk around of guest vehicles prior to entering the garage and highlight any damage on the corresponding valet parking ticketWhen requested or anticipated, will provide guests with information and answers to questions about Hotel facilities, meeting functions, dining facilities, local transportation alternatives and tourist attractionsStrict adherence to Fairmont Service Standard Expectations as it relates to valet parkingAble to operate all types of vehicles (manual and regular transmission)Other duties as assignedPhysical Aspect of the Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsQualificationsYour experience and skills include:Available to work weekends, evenings and shift workExcellent verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsTeam orientedCustomer service focusedProfessional manner and outgoing personalityValid Driver’s License with no infractionsGood command of the English languageAble to operate standard transmission vehiclesCandidates must provide a recent Driver's AbstractMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.
