Job Purpose
Are you a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Field Mechanic ready to take on a rewarding solo role? Join us at Mount Bracey, where you will independently manage repairs and maintenance in a dynamic environment. This position offers the convenience of camp living with meals provided, allowing you to focus on your expertise and make a real impact.
Responsibilities
Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on heavy equipment, construction equipment and various pieces of machinery.
Repair assorted heavy equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.
Disassembles engines and reassembles after a thorough examination.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and propane systems.
Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services.
Recondition and replace assorted parts of the heavy equipment.
Must be able to operate and test equipment such as telehandlers, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, light towers, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment.
Diagnose problem areas for any significant wear or tear on the equipment.
Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols.
Build positive relationships with customers.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Conditions of Employment
Must have Journeyman Mechanic (Off Road) Certificate or Red Seal in HET
Able to work 7 on, 7 off alone on site.
Camp is provided.
At least 3-years hands on experience working on Aerial & Earth Moving Equipment.
Ability to work constructively in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service focused attitude.
Valid class 5 driver's license.
A clean and recent driver's abstract will be required.

Pay Range: $47 - $51/hr
