Job Summary The RBC Wealth Management (“WM”) Platform Financial Controls & Governance (“PFCG”) team is looking for two (2) motivated, quick-thinking, and detailed-oriented 2025 Fall Financial Analysts. This is a unique and challenging opportunity for someone eager to gain extensive exposure to the Wealth Management business, particularly in external financial disclosures, internal controls and automation. As part of the WM PFCG team, you will work on impactful projects to strengthen the Financial Control function and contribute to the strategic positioning of WM and the CFO group. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on understanding complex business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and taking on challenges with determination and resilience. Job Description Data Analysis & Reporting Assist in analyzing financial and operational data to support decision-making and risk management. Prepare clear and concise working papers, PowerPoint presentations, reports for internal stakeholders and the senior leadership team. Use technical knowledge in excel, macros, or programming languages (such as python, and R) to make improvements to processes helping to emphasize the teams technology focused objectives. Business Exposure & Learning Gain an in-depth understanding of the Wealth Management and its accompanying Lines of Businesses to assist in the preparation of external financial disclosures. Assist in reviewing disclosures to ensure completeness, and accuracy prior to submissions to head-office. Financial Accounting & Internal Controls Willingness to learn and research complicated IFRS accounting standards and apply theory into real world. Support the team in documenting, analyzing, and improving internal controls to meet regulatory and organizational standards. Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose actionable solutions. Financial Controls & Projects Contribute to initiatives that enhances the Financial Control team’s position with RBC Wealth Management and the CFO Group. Participate in building frameworks for improved governance and financial accountability. Cross-Functional Collaboration Build strong rapport by working closely with partner teams globally in Wealth Management and the CFO Group to understand their processes and align financial control efforts. Provide a necessary understanding to partner teams, such that they understand the requirements of disclosures, assertions and attestations requested by external parties prior to submission externally. Special Projects Engage in ad-hoc and strategic focused on innovation efficiency, and business improvements What We’re Looking For Quick Learner: Ability to grasp complex concepts and processes quickly Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to completeness and accuracy in all deliverables, with a keen focus on designing concise and clear deliverables. Foundational Knowledge: Basic/Moderate background in internal controls, Accounting and Finance Resilience: A proactive, determined attitude with the ability to preserve through challenges. Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for analyzing data and identifying key insights. Collaborative Mindset: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to build relationships across the bank.
