This position helps to oversee the implementation of Division Grocery Merchandising programs. Responsible for sales, displays, ordering, inventory control and minimizing out-of-stocks within the department; the overall presentation and profitability of the department, while providing excellence in world-class customer service. Here’s where you’ll be focusing:
Supervise staff to include scheduling and assigning duties.
Implement all merchandising program
Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met; including cleanliness, inventory control, rotation, ordering and world-class customer service
Responsible for ordering and inventory control
Monitor to ensure schematic integrity, as well as 100% compliance on ad item display.
Ensure proper backroom procedures are being met
Ensure paperwork, as set by the division, is followed
Responsible for the sales and profitability of the department
Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages
Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff
Lead/coach store employees; responsible for ensuring employees provide world-class customer service
Reduce out-of-stocks
Perform all other related duties assigned by Store Manager
