The Director, Business Effectiveness provides leadership to achieve outcomes which optimize channel utilization and realize cost reductions for the business. The role applies leadership skills and technical expertise to research industry-wide service delivery best practices, making a significant contribution towards the establishment of benchmarks. The role exercises a high degree of independent judgement to develop and implement effective tracking and measurement models for assessing business performance and quality improvement. The role drives innovation across areas of responsibility, applying expert interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. How you'll succeed Strategic Initiatives - Lead and execute on key strategic initiatives, delivering on the Personal & Business Banking goals across the retail business. Ownership of competitive overview in support of key projects and strategic initiatives, and benchmarking value in the Canadian Market, and identify emerging cross-industry trends world-wide. Lead or support a variety internal initiatives, often of a highly sensitive and confidential nature, keeping EVP and the Group Head of Personal & Business Banking abreast of relevant information and progress Process Enhancement - Analysis and enhancements of strategic processes; ensuring they are working in an efficient and cohesive manor to drive positive results. Provide ongoing reporting/dashboards on CSO wide activities and events Partner Engagement - Lead the cross-regional tour for the SEVP of personal and business banking, ensuring tracking and response of feedback from frontline team members. Business Planning - Conduct ongoing P&L deep dives to understand all expense line items and underlying cost drivers. Assess cost areas against existing transformation roadmaps and ongoing continuous improvements and create linkages between efficiencies driven by the business and implied reductions in infrastructure costs Client Engagement - Recommending programs that contribute to creating an overall positive customer experience and improved client engagement Who you are You act like an owner.
