Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Associate/Machine Operator is accountable for the efficient management and optimization of semi-finished goods manufacturing, with a focus on efficiency, while maintaining product integrity. Proficiency in operating machinery and heavy equipment is essential and collaboration with the manufacturing team to uphold company policies and safety standards is a key aspect of the role. Administrative responsibilities include daily facility cleaning and organization to ensure a smooth and orderly workflow.
What you will be responsible for:
Equipment Operation and Maintenance
Maintain production equipment and machinery
Operate machinery and heavy equipment, such as forklifts, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
Supply the sign fabricating team with blanks manufactured using shear and punches
Quality Control
Perform quality checks on products and parts
Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications
Ensure that all customer orders are fulfilled to meet or exceed our standards
Examine all incoming and outgoing material
Administrative Support
Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence
Report maintenance or equipment problems to appropriate personnel
Review, evaluate, and implement new administrative procedures
Inventory Maintenance
Regularly monitor and track equipment inventory levels
Coordinate with the procurement team to restock and replenish inventory as needed
Cleaning Tasks
Keeps the work area clean and organized daily
What we need from you:
Available to work full-time Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm (Required)
General mathematical understanding of measurements and conversions (Required)
Strong verbal and written English communication skills (Required)
Vision and hearing abilities that allow to perform all work requirements safely (Required)
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. with good overall physical stamina (Required)
Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment (Preferred)
Experience operating heavy equipment (e.g. table saw, metal shear, grinder, etc.) (Preferred)
Valid driver’s license and your own vehicle for commuting purposes (Asset)
Forklift certification/license (Asset)
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in data organization and goal-oriented project management
