The Role
Strategic Guidance: Provide expert talent acquisition strategies and services to internal clients, aligning recruitment efforts with organizational goals.
Client-Centric Approach: Deliver exceptional experiences to candidates and clients through a customer-focused methodology.
Leadership Partnership: Collaborate with leaders to understand their recruitment needs and design innovative campaigns to attract top-tier talent.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance recruitment processes, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
End to End Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the entire recruitment process, job posting, screen and assess candidates, interviewing, advising hiring managers, negotiating employment offers, conducting thorough background checks and maintaining a positive experience throughout the hiring process.
Proactive Sourcing: Actively source and engage high-quality candidates as per requirements, building a robust talent pipeline for future organizational needs.
Compelling Job Advertisements: Craft and post engaging job advertisements that reflect SAIT's values, emphasizing Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and our Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
EDI and Indigenous Engagement: Champion EDI and Indigenous Engagement in all recruitment activities, ensuring inclusive hiring practices.
Best Practices Implementation: Research and implement cutting-edge best practices in candidate attraction and retention, staying ahead of workforce trends.
SAIT Ambassador: Serve as a SAIT ambassador, guiding applicants and promoting SAIT’s culture and benefits.
Networking and Events: Participate in events and networking opportunities to position SAIT as an employer of choice.
Collective Agreement Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of collective agreements and SAIT HR policies to support informed hiring decisions.
People and Culture Development: Contribute to the growth and development of our People and Culture division by participating in projects as a subject matter expert.
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to strive towards common goals.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, or Management Administration.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition within the HR umbrella, with a focus on strategic recruitment.
Strong client service orientation with a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
Proven experience in managing high-volume recruitment processes.
Demonstrated experience in sourcing high-quality candidates using advanced techniques and various platforms.
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, related AI tools and large-scale HR Information Systems.
Ability to manage priorities independently and exercise professional judgment.
High level of cultural competence to effectively engage with diverse candidate pools and promote inclusive hiring practices.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Experience within in a unionized, corporate or post-secondary environment is a strong asset.
CPHR or RPR designation is an asset.
Background in recruitment agency experience is an asset.
