As a Business Development Associate, you will provide administrative and sales support to our National Sales Teams. You will assist our sales teams in achieving sales targets by developing a thorough understanding of the needs of each territory, participating in business development activities, and working directly with Advisors to fulfill requests. You will work with the sales team to continually grow positive external advisor relationships through targeted campaigns, and by promoting strategies and solutions relevant to our external business partners. Position Responsibilities: 40% - Marketing & Sales Support Tasks Organize and distribute prompt lead/service email distribution of Advisor requests in team inbox. Manage incoming Advisor calls received through our sales team phone queue. Partner with Field Support Team and other Bank business units to quickly investigate, handle and resolve advisor and client concerns. Act as a conduit to all sales and marketing activities to ensure maximum impact in the sales territory by championing service issues. 30% - Sales Reporting & Targeted Email Campaigns Understand and become proficient in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) mass email deployment and marketing material creation. Act as your team’s reporting specialist. Run daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports within SalesForce for territory sales analysis and monitoring wholesaler activity metrics. Utilize Marketing Cloud to manage email distribution lists, run tracking reporst to analyze recipient open and click rate and organize and execute e-marketing campaigns on behalf of territories. Create Salesforce lead campaigns for our Inside Sales team to utilize and analyze the promotional analytics to measure the campaign impact in relation to direct revenue growth Organize and maintain Inside Sales team OneNote with current promotion documents/information, previous Webinar metrics, team meeting notes, manager takeaways and current email marketing templates. 20% - Business Development / Strategic Growth Assist your Wholesaling teams in scheduling and confirming branch presentations and by strengthening relationships with Advisors through planning and organizing educational and business promotional events/activities (i.e., branch meetings, Bank Days and Webinars) Create and distribute event invitations, prepare, and send marketing materials and promotional items to drive event registration and further advisor relationship. Collaborate with various departments (i.e., National Accounts, Regional VP’s, Marketing, Product teams) to generate promotional material and drive revenue growth in organizing in-office presentations, joint firm Bank events, and National Webinars for our advisors nationwide. 10% - Product Knowledge Conduct roleplays and call shadowing with our Internal Wholesalers to further product knowledge and to learn how to adapt/ to common bank product objections. Understand the advisor regulatory channels (MGA, MFDA, IIROC) and how these apply to our communications strategy. Demonstrate a beginner-level knowledge and interest in both the financial and banking industries. Required Qualifications: Post-secondary education is required Adept written and oral communication is required Strong PC skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically, Word and Excel to produce reports for sales analysis (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Macros) Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the banking sector or financial planning is an asset, as is experience with administrative tasks. Familiarity with Salesforce is also preferred. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to change, including shifting priorities and tight deadlines. Shows initiative, a positive influence, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment as a quick learner and self-starter. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to investigate issues independently. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not required.
