As an Audit Manager, you will review the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls to assess if they are adequate to mitigate the regulatory risks. You will work collaboratively with your team and audit clients for timely completion of audit engagements. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote How you’ll succeed Audit Analysis- Through executing audit methodology, identify internal control weaknesses and champion the migration of best practices throughout CIBC. Keep abreast of regulatory developments and emerging issues affecting CIBC and Internal Audit. Effectively utilize data analytics in the conduct of audits. Deficiency Management – Review artifacts supporting the corrective action plans agreed with client management and assess whether they meet committed actions and remediate the risks. Verbal and Written Communication - Communicate of audit results with your team and with your client. Time Management - Engage in multiple concurrent audits in different development stages and be able to complete required tasks on a timely basis. You will be fully aware of the progress of each audit and what needs to be performed in each one of them. Ownership - Take ownership of your audit assignments by making certain that your audit work addresses the risks and any identified issues are adequately reported. Who you are You can demonstrate experience in internal auditing and/or good knowledge of Canadian AML/ATF regulations. Knowledge of regulations in US, UK, and Asia would be an asset. Knowledge of CIBC and the various lines of business would also be beneficial. You are a designated professional. CA, CPA, or CIA designation would be highly desirable.
