This role will be responsible for both capture management and program management for international programs. The Program Manager will lead a multi-functional team in the proposal phase and execution phase of programs. Responsibilities include:Plan, monitor, and control the work on the program and maintain overall accountability for the cost, schedule, risk, and profit performance of the assigned portfolio through metrics and techniquesEnsure compliance for technical and programmatic requirements within program budgetsEnsure all services and products are completed on time and on budget to customer requirementsKeep current the Statement of Work, Program Management Plan, and all related program management documentsLead program reviews, both internally and with the customer, reporting and providing status of activities on a timely basisAct as a point of escalation and resolution for program issues and roadblocksAnalyze risk (e.g. technical, cost, and schedule), and initiate corrective actionLead strategic initiatives to support portfolio growth and longer-term business continuity, including generation of mitigation plansManage the preparation for requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), Requests for Quotations (RFQ), and basis of estimatesEnsure a high-level of customer intimacy and satisfactionManage program resources through liaison with engineering, other program managers, and departments such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Contracts, Product teamsProvide leadership and mentorship to program teamsInitiate product, service, and process improvementsQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a related discipline required, PMP considered highly desirable5 + years experience in industry, serving as Program Manager on complex projectsExperience in managing programs according to cost, schedule, and quality commitmentsComprehensive knowledge of project management tools and methodologiesDesire and capability to interact effectively with customers to influence, negotiate, assure a level of intimacy and satisfaction, and grow the assigned portfolioLeadership skills including interpersonal skills and collaborationStrong writing skills and experience writing program management plansExperience in planning techniques and fiscal managementCapability to provide effective briefings to Senior Management both internally as well as externally within our customer baseCreative problem solving to contribute to continuous growth and improvementSome level of travel may be required with this position.Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
