Job Summary
As the Coordinator, Community Events for the Belleville Senators Hockey Club you assume the part-time temporary role of working to find, book and attend different offseason events around the Bay of Quinte region to help expand our brand. You will be working both in office and in community to talk about the organization and enhance community impact and grow connections.
Reports to: Manager, Business Operations
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that all guests receive extraordinary customer service by:
Source events for offseason community calendar to attend
Contact event coordinators for information and booking purposes
Monitor event calendar to ensure proper staffing and mascot booking as necessary; discuss potential additional staffing needs for dates with multiple bookings or larger events requiring added support
Discuss Belleville Senators organization with visitors to events, provide information and answer questions
Act as point of contact at events, ensure materials are prepared and refilled to transport to each event
Track giveaways (as necessary) used at events
Qualifications
Displays a positive and outwardly friendly attitude
Ability to listen, articulate ideas, and respond in an empathetic and clear manner
Must be minimum 18 years old by start date
Must have access to vehicle to attend events and transport required setup items
Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)
Able to work under pressure
Able to walk/stand for extended periods of time and comfortable with heights
Able to lift/carry/transport heavy items to and from event spaces as needed
Excellent problem-solving skills
Effective interpersonal, and oral communication skills
Some basic knowledge of hockey, the AHL and the Belleville Senators
