In this role, you will help us design, build, certify, and deliver the next generation of ArcGIS Enterprise. If you are passionate about geospatial technologies, developing deep understanding of the product and customer needs, contributing to design, and communicating effectively via writing and presentations, this is the place to be!
Responsibilities
Translate customer needs into technical requirements for future ArcGIS Enterprise software releases
Collaborate with product engineers and development engineers on software project teams to build new ArcGIS Enterprise software releases
Be a strong voice during design phase for server backend and UI development
Develop and implement test plans and test cases, write test code, and verify code changes and bug fixes
Review and analyze automated test results, report status on software quality and stability, and certify software quality
Troubleshoot and triage customer issues
Share workflows in help topics, blog articles, presentations, tutorials, and samples
Be an advocate for the user and represent the user in product design and delivery
Requirements
2+ years of industry experience in software testing or software development
Experience developing and implementing test plans and test automation for web services
Fundamental understanding of APIs and API design principles
Fundamental understanding of web services including REST and SOAP
Experience working with Python, Java, or other scripting languages
Experience with test frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or Ready API
Experience translating customer needs into technical requirements for the team
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Proven ability to build and deliver quality software in a team environment
Effective time management and organizational skills
Bachelor's in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, math, or related field
Recommended Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in a related field
Prior experience with software development and release of commercial software products
Proven ability to define, manage, and deliver geospatial solutions
Demonstrable familiarity with Python or JavaScript for troubleshooting and software testing as well as web protocols and formats such as REST and JSON
