Job Description: We’re seeking a Junior Civil Project Manager to help drive civil construction projects from start to finish. What You Will Do: Be responsible for any assigned construction activities from concept through completion Oversee the coordination of civil construction projects under the direction of the Project Manager Collaborate with the Development Manager, site staff, subcontractors, consultants and municipalities Create budgets for civil works Prepare RFP’s for upcoming Civil work Prepare bid analysis and make recommendations to Civil Project Managers Review drawings for efficiencies Manage smaller civil projects and assist PM’s and VP’s with larger projects Prepare scope of works and contracts Manage Subcontractors Manage internal crews self performing work Track equipment usage, maintenance, and fuel Assess and recommend equipment purchases Review subcontractors RCO’s Close out of all civil projects including all deficiencies, consultant, and city sign-off All LC management from completing works, tracking, and liaising with city and stakeholders\ Ensure all subcontractors submittals are reviewed and tracked Post project review for lessons learned and implement of future works Produce daily, weekly, monthly reports Fill Site Coordination Plan fill areas and schedule Field calls from customers Coordinate with municipalities to arrange permits etc. Vet material through geotechnical and environmental reports Coordinate with Accounts Receivables to ensure accounts are up to date Work with landfill Foreperson for day-to-day running of the fill site. Assist and manage excavations Slab Prep Detail excavations On-site and off-site civil Ensure all work is executed safely Maintain and negotiate price lists with suppliers Review job costs and ensure costs are tracked and coded correctly Review invoices and contractor draws Review service agreements What You Bring: Post-secondary education – Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field an asset 5 years of construction related experience with on the job training We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
