As part of our Manufacturing and Operations team, you will be apart of team that's works closely together on achieving department goals. This workforce encompasses Production Controllers, Master Schedulers, Shipping & Receiving Specialists, Assemblers, Technologists and Product & Mechanical Engineers. Your day to day could include:To process high value equipment, assemblies and component parts for Repair and Overhaul (R&O) purposes for internal and external customers. Incumbents must have Secret (Level 2) with COMSEC Clearance in order to perform this job.Responsible for contractual Turn Around Time (TAT) by issuing and opening work orders, tracking status, placing orders for parts, sending repairables to vendors(outside processing) and moving work orders through operations, etc.Able to load contractual lines in MRP for repairs and initiate shipments (as required).Communicates to all stakeholders (internal and external customers) on the status of repairs and determines the priorities of the repairables based on the MRP requirements.Issues dispatch list and meets regularly with all stakeholders (technicians, production program managers) to ensure alignment to deliverable dates.Identifies problems and constraints and recommends solutions to the Product Support manager or other support staff.Responsible for ordering of parts and materials to support repairs, including analysis of available stock, preparing and expediting requisitions and purchase orders.Responsible for annual stocktaking, periodic audits and reconciliation of all R&O accounts and customer owned stock. Responsible to place demands on MRP for replacement components/parts based on usage history (quantity and rates).Able to execute R&O material transactions on the MRP system including closing and moving work orders when requiredUnderstands the DND R&O material transactions on the DND MRP CFSS terminal, and triggers this process and assists as needed. Transacts their own and Coordinator 1 needs, as required.Responsible for ensuring the data accuracy of the Product Support Failure Reports that may be generated from a variety of electronic data systems (FRACAS, MRP, DRMIS,…)Able to extract data from a variety of electronic data systems (FRACAS, MRP, DRMIS) to report repair part usage and aid purchasing decisions for supportability.Ensures all documentation is prepared and materials are available for customer equipment retrofits, refurbishment and modifications by technicians and assemblers.Monitors and advises rolling WIP costs to ensure repairs are conducted within financial limitations (MRC – maximum repair cost).Ensure outside processing repairs are allocated to the repair tasks correctly.Aids in communication (to all affected parties) on changes to warranty/non-warranty of repairs.Performs other related duties as required by the Product Support manager.QualificationsEquivalent to a Grade 12 level at a Secondary school plus two years of formal full-time education including CPIM certification of all APICs courses and successful completion of Canadian Forces Supply System- NDQAR Training Package.A College diploma or University degree in a related discipline is considered equivalent education.Requires strong written and oral communication skills and mathematical skills.A Canadian Forces qualification level 5 would also be considered as an equivalent qualification if it were completed after the implementation of MIMS.Additional courses at the post-secondary level in electronics and/or SW applications are required.Must complete a DND course in order to have access to the CFSS (DND MRP) and have knowledge of equipment faults and repairables.Over 6 years up to and including 8 years’ experience in MRP, Repair and Overhaul and manufacturing are required (at least 5 of the years must be in an R&O environment).Must have demonstrated capabilities of understanding bill of material structures, production processes, and the process of change traffic implementation; knowledge of the MRP operations, including lead times, order policies, etc is required; experience using formal MRP system is essential; proficiency in electronic spreadsheets, word processors is required, project management software are required.SecurityMust be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.Physical & Sensory EffortRequired to move products (i.e.: 25-50 lb. equipment and materials) for moderate periods of time (significant/ moderate).
