Multi-Skilled Engineer (Permanent) Key Responsibilities: Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and generators. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates optimally and lasts longer. Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime. Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations with contractors and external service providers. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment. Assist in planning and executing projects such as equipment upgrades and system enhancements. Provide technical support and guidance to other staff members as needed. Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position. Knowledge and Skills: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (e.g., ONC or BTEC Level 3). Suitable multi-skilled apprenticeship. Proven experience in a mechanical/electrical role, ideally in facilities management or an estate environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving mechanical/electrical issues. Ability to perform preventive maintenance and manage multiple tasks.
