Leading a team of HR professionals, you will provide expertise in recruitment, onboarding, benefits, labour relations, and performance management, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. What You Will Do Assist in maintaining HR policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment laws. Support union negotiations, assist in the implementation of new collective agreements, handle grievances and investigations, and ensure adherence to legal, accreditation, and internal policies. Aid in the implementation of compensation and benefits programs, coordinating with payroll and internal teams to ensure effective execution and management. Mentor and support HR Partners by providing expert guidance to leadership teams across AgeCare communities in Alberta, ensuring timely execution of AgeCare processes and procedures. Identify training opportunities to enhance HR capabilities and support employee engagement initiatives. Lead HR-related projects, collaborate with senior leadership on policy and program development, and continuously improve existing HR practices. Utilize Workday, UKG, and systems to track HR metrics, ensure data accuracy, and maintain compliance with audits and accreditation, ensuring timely and accurate information is stored in shared drives. Maintain a high level of discretion when handling sensitive HR matters, fostering a culture of trust and integrity. What You Will Need Certificate or diploma in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience. Leadership or management training; CHRP designation is an asset. 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles. Experience in a unionized environment is an asset. Prior HR experience in a seniors’ environment is a definite advantage. Knowledge of employment law, WCB claims handling, OH&S compliance, and HR best practices. Ability to manage complex situations with tact, confidentiality, and sensitivity. A valid driver's license.
