The company is ISO 9001 - 14001 certified and a member of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC).Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES Producing Sika powder products by following Sika’s procedures and formulasPrepare and accurately label totes for shippingCommunicating any non-conformances to Team Leader or plant managementPerforming and recording required equipment calibrationsSafe operation of forklift and other plant equipmentWork safely at all times, adhering to all company safety policies (PPE, lock-out, confined space, safe lifting practices, etc.)Participate in production planning for the departmentCompleting preventative maintenance inspections based on a predetermined schedule (daily, monthly and annually)Housekeeping duties including cleaning daily, disposal of plant waste and recycling, and cleaning between producing productsAssist Team Leader and plant management as requiredAdditional duties as assignedEnvironment: Work performed both indoors and outdoors – adaptation required to fluctuations in temperature and weather conditionsDusty and dirty environmentUniform providedHearing protection provided and may be required in certain areas due to loud environmentHandling of various chemicals, proper respirator fit and wear required at times and in certain areasSubstantial repetitive physical effort required – ability to lift up to 30kgStanding and walking required for long periods of timeSafely working with or around moving machinery/equipmentOvertime may be requiredComplete equipment maintenance once per month including fitting in small spaces to grease equipmentCoordinate communication for the shop floorProblem solve equipment issues QualificationsHigh school diploma with 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably working with construction materialsComputer literacy, and experience with SAP or other ERP systems an assetPrevious experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.) an assetForklift experience is requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to problem solve and recognize errors or concerns in Sika’s products or procedures.Additional InformationJoin the family of Sika AG, with over 33,200 employees and companies set up in over 100 countries, which provide ample of opportunities to grow.
