We are currently seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our Capital Equipment team as an Application Engineer to support our growing business. This position will focus primarily on the process design, project estimation and proposal preparation and inside sales support for membrane based demineralized water treatment systems as well as ion exchange-based systems. Overall Responsibilities: The list below highlights the essential job responsibilities but is not exhaustive. Prepares process designs, detailed equipment and manpower estimates and sales proposals and performs regular follow up with Customers and Consulting Engineers. Prepare Detailed Work Orders after close of a sale and attend internal Project Kick-off Meetings and ensure a smooth transition into Project Execution. Serve as a resource throughout the project execution phase and process Change Orders as required. Support sales proposal generation. Review customer specifications and develop required technical clarifications/exceptions and customer required data sheets. Supports sales team by assisting with lead qualification, Budget Proposal preparation. Assist in the development of Sales Tools (design/costing tools, proposal templates, standard drawings). Qualifications, Skills, Competencies: Professional Engineer from either Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering discipline with 5-10 years of similar experience within the Water Treatment Industry. Sound design knowledge and experience with the application of technologies such as Clarification, Ultrafiltration, Media Filtration, Reverse Osmosis, Electrodeionization, Ion Exchange is a prerequisite. Thorough knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook as well as all relevant process design application software. Strong sales, technical, and customer focus. Produces consistency in quality of work; performance level is of high caliber. Responds exceptionally well and takes ownership of urgent issues in fast paced environments. Strong communication skills (both oral and written). Ability to work as part of a team and individually on multifaceted tasks and projects. Be detail oriented, and able to commit to and support a structured process to goal realization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as design specifications/technical literature, safety standards, operating and maintenance instructions, test reports, and engineering drawings. Goal oriented and highly self-motivated. Well organized, effective time management works to deadlines. Strong ability to learn independently and through job specific training.
