ABOUT THE ROLE
Lafarge Construction is seeking a seasonal, full-time Labourer to join our team in Saskatoon SK. This role plays a crucial part in supporting construction operations by performing a variety of manual labor tasks to ensure job site efficiency and safety. The successful candidate will assist with general site maintenance, material handling, and equipment operation.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
Perform minor truck and equipment maintenance.
Check grades to ensure accuracy.
Conduct pre and post-trip inspections.
Maintain clean job sites by performing shoveling, raking, sweeping, and other general labor duties.
General laborer duties associated with all aspects of road construction including base, paving and concrete applications.
Operate equipment as needed.
Spotting and flagging.
Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
Operate equipment as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Experience in checking grades
Required Training/Certifications: Valid Class 5 Driver’s License. G Endorsement is an asset.
Required Technical Skills: Knowledge of construction and Experience hauling trailers is an asset
Travel Requirements: Knowledge of the City of Saskatoon and surrounding area
Additional Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
Proven ability to follow safe work procedures and complete field risk assessments.
Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
