More specifically, you will be involved in the engineering of high-power switchgears. This is a great opportunity to showcase your technical skills on electrical projects in our energy sector. We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices in Quebec. You will work in collaboration with the CEPs, technicians and drafters in the team, as well as coordinating with the other disciplines involved in our projects.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesigning electrical power systems and their layout for various substation projectsParticipating in the detailed engineering for the production of schematics, switchgear layout plans and earthing plansPreparing project deliverables such as plan views, elevations, including detail drawings, miscellaneous layouts, diagrams, specifications, lists, etc.Carrying out or validating studies and calculations for sizing equipment, selecting gauges and laying power cables, auxiliary services, lightning protection, etc.Selecting equipment and quantifying quantitiesCo-ordinating electrical equipment work with other related engineering disciplines, such as structural, civil, control and protection, mechanical, building engineering and architectural.Coordinating the project with the client(s)QualificationsUniversity Degree in electrical engineeringMember of l'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for registrationMore than five (5) years of relevant experienceKnowledge of Hydro-Québec or other public utility standardsKnowledge of substation switchgear engineeringFluency in written and spoken FrenchKnowledge of relevant standards and design codes, including the Québec Electrical CodeResourceful, motivated, enthusiastic, project-oriented with a strong desire to succeedWhy choose CIMA+?
