The main responsibilities of this position include providing lab support, managing samples, supporting molecular biology and tissue culture, and preparing media and buffer reagents. Additionally, you will contribute to site safety programs, cost savings analysis, and process improvement initiatives to ensure a safe and continuously improving work environment. What will you do? Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform lab equipment verifications and pH meter calibrations following company protocols, maintaining appropriate records as needed Biological Material Management: Coordinate cryo- and ultra-low freezers to prioritize, transfer, or remove materials in an accurate and timely manner and track records in an internal spreadsheet. Using PIMS/Mosaic systems to enter biological materials upon arrival, assess and update current inventory. Media Sciences: prepare media, buffer, ethanol dilutions, and reagents according to customer requirements. Lab Supports: protein conjugations, aliquot materials and register biological samples in customer database. Molecular Biology Service: perform routine DNA scale-ups with transformation, Maxi and Mini Preps Tissue Culture Service: maintain cell lines and perform cell line passaging, seeding, harvesting, bulk up, mycoplasma testing, and gel electrophoresis Capture and report job specific metrics to Site Supervisor and maintain good record-keeping. Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Minimum 2 years of customer service experience Familiar with general laboratory protocols Strong verbal and written communication skills Capable of lifting, pushing and/or pulling 30 lbs consistently; may be required to lift 35 lbs Education BA/BS degree or four-year college degree in a Science related field is preferred.
