Join our Sales & Marketing team with an unmatched depth of capabilities and help our customers solve some of the world’s toughest challenges Discover Impactful Work: As part of our Genetic Sciences Group (GS) and the Genetic Analysis (GAD) Division you'll join our team of qPCR Consumables specialists to grow our qPCR assay and reagent revenues within the San Francisco Bay Area by direct to laboratory sales activities. By coordinating and aligning with colleagues and cross functional teams from multiple divisions we enable our customers to resolve issues and provide them with the best tools to answer their questions and help Thermo Fisher achieve its mission to make the world a cleaner, healthier, safer place. What You'll Do: Consistently and accurately leads sales process including supporting sales forecasting, pipeline management and sales tracking. Coordinates resources and personally engages key customers for the benefit of the qPCR consumables business for key customers in Canada. Develops and maintains deep current knowledge of genetic analysis markets, products and buying practices. Applies product and application knowledge across the division's portfolio to effectively apply consultative and strategic selling presentations. Understands our customer goals, priorities and challenges such that Applied Biosystems solutions are best positioned to address customer needs. Expands visibility of our qPCR consumables benefits to our customers: Capitalizes on local marketing innovations to expand programs within the designated territory. Provides internal partners with business planning and development consulting to ensure effective strategies Sell-Through Support: Provides foundational qPCR technical and Sales Training. Review marketing campaigns and plans to ensure accurate positioning and description of qPCR products. Consistent Tool & Resource Utilization: Uses the tools, processes and operational resources to improve and advance direct and indirect sales. Collaboratively monitors and influences partner sales pipeline. Champions innovations that improve partner pipeline management. Keys to Success: Education Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience. A Master’s, MBA or PhD degree is a plus Experience Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in Life Science preferred. Similar field application support experience will be considered. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Residence in specified territory is a must, at least 70% travel required, knowledge of accounts in territory is preferred. People with excellent influencing skills, a proven sales process to get results through others are an asset Extensive knowledge of qPCR technologies required. We share a core mission.
