You will be an integral part of the LBLNG team who prides themselves on safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating in accordance with quality, safety and efficiency standards. Essential Responsibilities: Safe & cost-effective maintenance of heavy mobile equipment Provide support to PM Mechanics and Maintenance technicians Perform diagnostics and repairs on various CAT, Komatsu & Hitachi Equipment Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily field level hazard assessments for all activities Complete maintenance reporting and other documentation as required Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures Requirements: Must have 3+ years previous experience in on heavy civil / earthworks projects Journeyperson certification from a recognized training authority Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing Must have a valid Driver's License and clear 3-year driver's abstract CSTS-2020 or Site Ready BC Work Conditions: Experienced applicants that reside in Squamish or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project 14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift, 10-12 hour work days Onsite accommodation provided Travel allowance / flights provided from approved locations Extended health benefits provided by CLAC Compensation $33.00 - $43.61 This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location. Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances. Additional Information Woodfibre Management Ltd, a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is spearheading the Woodfibre LNG Project, a proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility currently in the pre-construction phase. Situated near Squamish, British Columbia, on the site of a former pulp mill, the project is a collaboration between Woodfibre LNG and Pacific Canbriam Energy, both subsidiaries of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited. Notably, the project has secured environmental approvals from the B.C. and Canadian governments, as well as from the Squamish Nation. This initiative, recognized as the first-ever environmental approval by an Indigenous people in the absence of a treaty, highlights Woodfibre's commitment to responsible and inclusive development. The facility aims to leverage low-emission Canadian natural gas, meeting high demand in countries transitioning from coal to natural gas for its environmental benefits. Through the use of renewable hydro-electricity, the project strives to become the world's lowest-emission LNG export facility.
